Adam Mikos is most naturally drawn to scenes and situations that are alive with people and motion. With this series, The White House on Huron shows his eye for form and balance. Devoid of any people at all, the viewer is able to focus their attention on the environment.
The house itself is near the corner of Damen and Huron in the Ukranian Village neighborhood. At the time this series was shot two good friends were living in the house and many years were spent soaking up the sun of the big front porch and huddling around the furnace with pots of coffee in the winter.
Adam's work has been exhibited in Chicago and Los Angeles. He is represented by LooseKnitCollective.
